This is something that you guys have requested for a long time; A look into what I eat in a day! I know there is a possibility that this could be used in a negative way, (when someone tries to follow exactly what someone else eats, rather than doing what is right for their individual body); But I also know that seeing what someone eats can be helpful to provide inspiration!
So here’s what I hope; That you guys are inspired with new ideas, that you feel motivated to try new things, and that maybe in me sharing, you can gain a sense of balance in the midst of our diet culture obsessed world if you need it!
I will be sharing a batch of food pictures of things I have eaten for each meal/snack over the course of a few months for general ideas. Please note that this isn’t always every thing I eat. And it isn’t always the same! This is just some ideas and food for thought! 😆 Now let’s get to the yummy stuff!
BREAKFAST
I typically always wake up hungry, so along with my coffee, and a big glass of water, and typically have a Dashing Dish no-bake ball, muffin, a homemade protein bar, or breakfast cookie or baked oatmeal square while I read my bible in the morning.

After reading my bible I either workout or take a walk 4 days a week; Or I get started on work, or depending on the day, either Sean or I take turns playing with Maddie. In most cases I have a protein shake, but there are times when I feel like something warm and filling (usually on a slower weekend morning), in which case I have overnight oats, or Dashing Dish pancakes or waffles. On the rare occasion that I am headed out the door, or am on a trip, I will make DD homemade bagels or bars and take them with me on the go.

LUNCH
For lunch I typically have something that is made in big batches in advance, or something that takes minutes to prepare. During the colder months I enjoy making any of my muffin tin meatloaves, meatballs or meat sauce (over spaghetti squash or zoodles), or soups or chillis. In the warmer months I enjoy salads, pasta salads, 10 minute pizzas on pitas, or leftovers from dinner.

SNACKS
For snacks I switch between wanting something savory to sweet depending on the day, and often times I will have another "baked" good from Dashing Dish, such as my Banana Bread, Coffee Cake, two muffins, or if I'm in the mood for savory, I'll have some chicken or egg salad, or a few slices of my everything bread (recipe to come). I also enjoy store bought options such as brown rice cakes with some sort of protein on it, Greek yogurt with frozen berries, Simple Mills crackers, fruit with nut butter; Or if i'm on the go, a clean protein bar (homemade or store bought). I always have 1-2 snacks throughout the day depending on how hungry I am, which prevents me from being overly hungry. This helps me listen to my body when I do sit down to enjoy a meal.

DINNER
For dinner I like to have a casserole or one pan dish, that has everything incorporated, (veggies, protein, etc. all in one meal), so that I don't have to think about sides etc.

I also like to have meals that I can throw together in less than 30 minutes on the nights that I do have the time to cook. Sheet pan, skillet, and quick and easy meals are my go-to.

DESSERT
Now for the best part, dessert! After dinner I almost always am looking for something sweet. Years ago I thought you couldn't live a healthy lifestyle and enjoy treats, until I realized that depriving yourself tends to lead to overeating and cravings at some point. So whats the solution? Enjoy a clean eating version of your favorites! I enjoy everything from cookies, one minute cakes, brownies, cookie dough, and even hot cocoa in the evenings, and it hits the spot every time!

I hope this provided inspiration for you guys for your daily eats; Now i'd love to hear in the comments, what is your favorite Dashing Dish meal, snack, and/or treat!?
