Life moves fast. From the moment we wake up, our minds are flooded with to-do lists, expectations, and responsibilities. Before we know it, we’re carrying the weight of worry, often without even realizing it. That’s why it’s so important to pause and ask:
“What’s weighing on my heart right now?”
It might be something small—like a lingering conversation that left you unsettled—or something big, like finances, your health, your family, or the unknowns of the future. Whatever it is, Jesus invites us to bring it to Him.
In Matthew 11:28, Jesus says:
“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
He doesn’t say, “Fix it first.”
He doesn’t say, “Carry it quietly.”
He simply says, “Come.”
When we take time to check in with our hearts and identify what’s truly weighing us down, we’re better able to hand it over to the One who can actually carry it. God never meant for us to live weighed down by burdens. He meant for us to walk in freedom—one step at a time, hand in hand with Him.
So today, take a moment. Quiet your mind. And ask yourself honestly: What’s weighing on my heart?
Then, take that burden straight to Jesus. Speak it out loud. Write it in a journal. Pray it through. And as you do, invite Him in. He is ready to give you peace in exchange for your worry, and rest in exchange for your striving.
When you are heavy from the weight of the world, look up. Your Father is reaching out His hand to pull you up. All you have to do is reach out and take it!
