If you find yourself struggling with worry, one of the the most powerful ways to banish anxiety is to redirect your attention to the Lord through worship!
When we are in a state of anxiety, we see all the places we are lacking. However, when we thank God for even the smallest things, we acknowledge His abundance. It's harder for anxiety to cloud our vision when we frequently acknowledge the provision of God throughout our day.
The Psalms Is one of my favorite books in bible that brings a song of worship to my heart! The Psalms were written by people that were often fighting despair and anxiety; Yet they reminded themselves of the faithfulness of God, which was ultimately where they found their strength and their song. They are a reminder of God's consistent love for us; Reminding us that in our darkest moments, He is there with us.
When it comes to worship, it can certainly be a song led by others, but one of my favorite ways to worship is from my very own heart! I'm convinced that there are no sweeter words to our Heavenly Father than His children simply saying, "Thank You" and "I Love You" from their own mouth.
Friend, the Lord has equipped us to fight fear through His Word, the body of believers, and the power of His presence that comes through worship. Though anxiety may wage war against our minds, we can invite the prince of peace into our situation in just a moment with a song from our heart; For it is in His presence that He silences every fear.
