I can't believe my baby girl turns five tomorrow! Where did the years go!? Becoming her mommy has been one of the best things that has ever happened to me, and I praise God every day for the gift of being able to steward over her life!

This past weekend we celebrated her turning five (a bit early in case we ended up celebrating her brothers birthday first), and it was the most magical day!

Maddie is my pink, glitter, and all things girly-girl, which includes a love for unicorns, mermaids, and fairies! When I found out I could rent a mini horse for the party (who would come as a unicorn), I knew unicorn theme would be perfect for five! It was also a full circle celebration, being that her first birthday was unicorn theme!

For her special day, Maddie helped me make a few treats, and her daddy also made her a custom birthday sign like he does every year!

The cake was done by Geri Yost and cookies were done by Mix and Batch Bakery

I kept the colors in the pastel rainbow theme, and added lots of personal touches of Maddie, and some of her favorites wherever I could!

I got dresses that matched as close as possible to one another, because although I'm hoping she will want to match me forever, I know this time may be short and sweet, so I'm taking full advantage while I can! I got Maddie's dress from Cheeky Plum Boutique and mine from Amazon.

This year was such a celebration in so many ways for Maddie! First and foremost, she asked last year for her birthday (in this exact spot) for a baby for our family, and this year we celebrated as I am days away from having her baby brother!

Maddie also started school this year and became bold and confident, which was a huge praise report since she was hiding her face when family sang happy birthday to her. This year she stood by herself and smiled as she looked around at everyone that loved her! I couldn't be more proud of the growth I have seen in her this year!

The best part of the day was spending it with family and friends! I'm so thankful she has so many people that pour into her and love on her!

Happy Birthday Madeline Joy! You bring so much joy to us and us and everyone around you! You are a gift from God, and we have been so blessed to watch you grow into an incredible little girl! We love you so very much!
