I don’t know who needs to hear this today, but if you’ve been waiting for the “perfect moment” to start getting healthy, can I gently encourage you? You don’t need a Monday. You don’t need a new month. You don’t need a full fridge of organic food or a color-coded workout calendar. You just need one small step. And that’s enough for today.
I know how easy it is to get overwhelmed by all the things we think we should be doing. We see women crushing long workouts, drinking green smoothies, waking up at 5 am with glowing skin and a lemon water in hand, and we think, “I could never do all that.” So we don’t start at all.
But what if small is actually where the magic begins?
Maybe today, you drink one more glass of water. Maybe you take a 10-minute walk after dinner instead of scrolling through your phone. Perhaps you go to bed 30 minutes earlier because your body is craving rest. Maybe you swap your usual snack for something that makes you feel a little more nourished.
None of those things are super flashy. They probably won't make your social media story. And, let’s be honest, you’re not going to post before-and-after photos tomorrow. But they do matter. Because those tiny shifts, done consistently, start building momentum. And momentum builds habits. And habits? That’s where change sticks. You don’t need to overhaul your life to start moving toward health. You just need to move. One small, intentional step at a time.
And the best part? You’re not doing it alone. Believe it or not, there are so many of us in the same place. We’re just figuring it out, giving ourselves grace, and cheering each other on as we go.
So whatever your “small step” looks like today, take it. Celebrate it!
