
Welcome to Week 2 of the Love Your Body Challenge!
Do you believe God wants to bring you to a place of freedom in the area of your health- mind, body, and soul?
Yes! Thats right. He cares so much about you that He wants you to be free from the anxieties that arise when you step on the scale or go shopping for clothes. He wants you to be free from the weight of comparison, worrying what people think, and not measuring up. He wants you to be free from the burden that is attached to your physical appearance. But, in order to do so, you must surrender these areas to Him, and trust Him with your body.
As we embark on this part of the journey together, you will learn ways to practically care for the body God gave you, in which you will find it feeling, working, and even looking better! It will also mean living free from the crazy ups and downs that go along with dieting, disordered eating, and mindless eating.
This week we will come to understand true versus emotional hunger; As well as learn to overcome mindless eating and cravings through practical and spiritual disciplines.
So often as women we run to food to comfort when we are emotional, bored, tired, stressed, etc. But it doesn’t have to be that way! You have the ability to change the way that you respond to your emotions when it comes to food. It won’t t happen overnight, but as you learn to identify triggers, and to strengthen your spiritual muscles, you will be able to walk in victory over emotional and mindless eating.
Let’s start by addressing what some of the reasons are that can be the result of eating when we aren’t physically hungry.
