"Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who teaches. Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not grow weary of doing good, for, in due season, we will reap if we do not give up. So then, as we have the opportunity, let us do good to everyone, especially to those of the household of faith." Galatians 6:6-10
It's going to be ok. Who needs to hear that today? We live during a time when it's easy to wonder how things will turn out, isn't it? For the Saints, we have the hope of knowing how the story ends. We know that though the earth may tremble and the mountains crumble, there is no one like our God. For us, the happy ending is secure. How about those souls who do not have that assurance?
There is an upsurge of anxiety and fear in our culture. With that, though, comes unprecedented opportunity. People are searching for hope. They are desperate to know that it's all going to be ok. Friends, flesh, and blood may fail, but the God of hope and strength never will. As you walk into this day, I pray that you will think high above the view of this earth – far beyond what size you fit into today, high above what people may say or think of you. Instead, may you determine today to walk with tenacious, kingdom-minded faith. Go forth to be a shining, encouraging example of hope to a desperately watching world that needs to know what you have to share. May you be a mouthpiece for heaven today to help spread the ultimate good news!
