"God is our refuge and strength [mighty and impenetrable], a very present and well-proved help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains are shaken and slip into the heart of the seas, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its roaring." Psalm 46:1-2
Fear not, says the Lord! Over and over again, throughout scripture, the Lord tells us not to be afraid. So, what are we to do when we are scared? We take up our most potent weapon, the Sword of the Spirit, and speak to that fear. Remind fear of the God you serve and know that it must flee. The next time fear whispers, shout back! Pray, and speak this peace-giving truth to your soul.
I am safe. I am held by the very hand of the God of the Universe. I say no to fear and instead stand in complete faith. I no longer allow fear to keep me from God's best plan for my life. I walk in confidence and peaceful assurance, knowing that the Lord is my guide and my light. In Jesus' name, I speak this truth over my life and know that fear must flee.
