“The eye is the lamp of the body. You draw light into your body through your eyes, and light shines out to the world through your eyes. So, if your eye is well and shows you what is true, then your whole body will be filled with light.” Matthew 6:22 (The Voice)
Be careful what your little eyes see! So much of what happens in your mind begins with a simple look. What you look at significantly influences how and what you think. Be diligent to guard your mind. Be very particular about what you watch on TV, read, listen to, and participate in on social media. You can easily be deceived in very subtle ways. Maybe looking at pictures of other women’s bodies is stirring discontentment and comparison? It's even possible to spend too much time looking at your reflection. Without consciously realizing it, you can become critical or faultfinding in ways that steal your joy and gratitude. Today, is there anything you feel the Lord prompting you to stop looking at? Is there something you see on a regular basis that's stealing life rather than increasing it? If so, lay it at the cross today as an offering. In return, the Lord will fill you with life and light and cause you to shine for His glory.
