“Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the Lord. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.” Jeremiah 31:31-34
What are the lies written on your heart? Life has a way of producing unforgettable memories that either confirms the good God declares about us or etching lies on the canvas of our hearts. Do you know that no matter how true the lies you've believed may seem and no matter how painful the events that shaped them, the Lord can rewrite your story? He is the Healer of both wounds and scars and, by supernatural grace, "edits" the script we've written or believed about ourselves. Do you need to ask the Lord to rewrite what's written on your heart today? God understood the unimaginable pain He would endure on the cross. The Lord was willing to endure that depth of suffering for your sake because He loves you so much. He took the unimaginable so that you could enjoy unimaginable love. Though you may not fully understand how it's possible, choose to believe and receive fully the knowledge that you are loved, chosen, and cherished by your heavenly father. This is how we know what love is; Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. You are a representation of God. You are made in His very image. Every little thing about you reflects part of Christ's character and life. Can you fathom? All the beauty that exists in Him exists in you.
You are worthy of love. Will you allow the truth of who you are to be engraved on your heart and in your mind through Christ Jesus today?
