“For unto us a child is born, unto us, a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6

As we begin our day, it’s helpful to remember the names of God. The needs we bring in prayer aren’t just something He provides. They’re Who He IS. Whatever need you have or situation you face today, I pray you are comforted by remembering Who holds your every need, prayer, tear, and praise in the palm of His hand.

• He is El Roi, the God Who Sees. When we feel lonely, forgotten, or misunderstood, His very name assures us that He is close. He promises, I see you, even if it feels as though no one else does. I AM THE One Who sees.

• He is Yahweh Yireh. He promises I will provide. It’s Who I Am. I AM THE Provider.

• He is Yahweh Rohi. He promises I will sustain. I AM THE Sustainer. He is your good Shepard who will lead, guide, and protect you.

• He is Yahweh Shalom. He promises I will comfort you and give you peace. I AM THE Comforter.

May you go in peace and with strength today, not because of who you are, but because of Who’s you are. God is mighty and strong on your behalf. Be encouraged and know that God is with you today!
