I read a quote once that said, “Successful people surround themselves by successful people.” Basically, it’s paraphrasing today’s scripture passage isn’t it? I used to grossly underestimate the power of mentorship, guidance, and accountability in my life. There’s no two ways about it, it was rooted in pride. God really used my time of healing from eating disorders to show me just how powerful and important it is to pursue good, Godly counsel from trustworthy sources. I began to pray and look for my “lifting team." I began to notice people who were doing well in areas where I desired growth. Then, I sought them out for mentorship and accountability. The Lord can and will powerfully use other people’s experiences and journey to bless us and help guide our lives through their wisdom and discernment. Now, more than ever, it’s the perfect time to surround yourself with wise, Godly counsel to help ensure victory! Do you have the support of wise counselors and friends in your life?
