Isn’t it amazing just how bright, energetic & fearless kids can be? They have the boldness to walk through their favorite store in princess dresses and superhero capes, they believe and dream that one day they will be astronauts, doctors, singers or pastors. They dream so BIG that its almost impossible not to believe in them and dream with them because they don’t understand the devaluing meaning of NO. So why aren’t we just as carefree as them when it comes to our own life?
So much of what we are told or what we tell ourselves is no, I can’t, I’m not good enough, I’ll never be able to be the person I want to be. Maybe there was a time in your life when someone commented on the way you looked or made a remark about your lack of abilities and it stuck with you. Maybe you are the person telling yourself things that aren’t true. As if that wasn’t enough, as women and moms we are constantly comparing ourselves to everyone else and putting ourselves down for not “having it all together” but who told you, you don’t? Who told you, you can’t or you won’t? Who told you that you aren’t able to be the best version of yourself, the version of yourself that God intended you to be?
It’s time we start retraining our negative thoughts and self doubt and giving it to God, for we are fearfully and wonderfully made. In his eyes we are a perfect vision and we need to live out God’s vision and let go of the comparison of others and the negative thoughts. Next time you start to think of yourself in a negative light, I want you to stop and pray and talk to God and say – I am a daughter of the King and I am fearfully and wonderfully made, Thank you Jesus! Thank you for this body and help me to keep it nourished and healthy the way you intended. The power of prayer is strong and positivity is powerful.
The time is now to live the lifestyle intended for us by God. When you see something beautiful in someone, speak it. When you see beauty in yourself, speak it and own it. Those Godly words of encouragement might inspire you or someone else to believe you can!
