As many of you know, my daughter Madeline had her first birthday on June 11th! It was such a special day, celebrating our girl who is truly a gift from the Lord after we prayed for so many years for a baby! We started the celebration off with Dashing Dish Blueberry Pancakes, in unicorn shapes of course! And we spent the morning doing some smash-cake pictures at home, using a giant Dashing Dish pancake as a smash cake, since it was the morning after all! ;)

If you have clicked on this post, then there is a good chance you are a fellow momma; And if so, I hope these recipes make life a little easier when it comes to feeding your little one!
I will start by saying that Maddie was a very picky eater from the moment we gave her the very first solid, which was mashed sweet potatoes at six months old. She shuddered and spit every ounce of it out of her mouth, and this progressed with everything we tried fro the next two months. I felt very discouraged...

You guys...How can it be that I am already writing Maddie's 9 month update!?! It seems like yesterday I was writing her 6 month update, and celebrating her first Thanksgiving and Christmas! One of my first thoughts as I realized she was approaching the 9 month mark was that she has officially been out in the world as long as she was in my belly! When I think back to my pregnancy I feel like it was a marathon, but also a sprint; Which oddly enough is almost exactly how I'd describe the first...

How old is Madeline currently?
Maddie turned 6 months on December 11th, (she was born June 11th). It is incredibly hard to believe it has already been 1/2 a year! I am learning very quickly that what they say is true- the days are long but the years are short! The first six months had many long days, (and even longer nights), but were also so incredibly sweet!
What have been some of your favorite memories made with Maddie so far?
There are honestly too many to count, but some of my favorites...

Most of us would agree that Thanksgiving is a season when we give a bit more time and attention to counting our blessings. We reflect more on things that matter. Even when it gets busy, the nature of the holiday makes it so that we are willing to prioritize time together, serving others, and making memories. It is the perfect time to start a new tradition!
Traditions are meant to be fun, but more than that, I want to encourage you to start traditions with a purpose. From serving others, to...

There are varying opinions about how to handle Halloween, but there’s one thing we can all agree on –there will be candy! Lots and lots of candy!
When my son turned two I sought the Lord about how to handle Halloween in our home. At that point he was toddling around with tiny steps and there was a huge part of me that really wanted to put him in some crazy cute get-up and show him off to all the neighbors! I had such fond memories of fall evenings running with friends from house to house on...

If your life is anything like mine, much of it is spent on the go. When life gets busy it's so helpful to have easy, accessible, portable meals and snacks available to help keep your healthy lifestyle on track. Today, I'm sharing some of my favorite "go-to's" for your on-the-go life.
Breakfast
At least a couple of times a week, protein shakes are my on-the-go breakfast choice. I mix one up right before leaving and pour it into a thermal mug to keep it icy cold. It's quick, easy to take and sip...

Sisters, I am anything but a marriage counselor. Marriage is certainly not my expertise, nor do I claim to hold any special secret formula to enjoying a healthy one. What I do claim though is boldness in Christ and I will gladly boast of the Lord every chance I get.
What I am is a testimonial to the Lord’s unspeakable healing, restorative power. This is my '"toast" to the Lord for transforming a severely broken woman and marriage. What I have is 16-years of a true beauty for ashes journey in...
